We’re excited to be joined by guest speaker Lee Timutimu, with over 20 years’ experience in digital technology he is a leading voice and advocate for Māori representation in digitech.
Drawing on Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles and practical examples, this session will examine questions of ownership, consent, collective benefit, accountability, and the responsibilities that come with collecting and using information about our communities.
We’ll explore what Indigenous worldviews can teach us about trust, protecting community interests, and ensuring data is used in ways that reflect the values and aspirations of the people it represents. We can have the opportunity to reflect on how these principles may apply within our own organisations and communities.
Free to attend. Join the conversation. Shape the future.
Youth Q&A Drop-In Session
Following each webinar, Rose will host a 15-minute drop-in session for young people, youth board representatives, and youth-led organisations. This informal space is designed to debrief, ask questions, share reflections, and continue the kōrero. An additional registration is required here for the Youth session.
