Help us reach our 100 goal!

Support our not-for-profits with good governance practice

The Good Governance Board Service

Community Governance Aotearoa has set a goal to support 100 not-for-profits but we need your help!

Throughout Aotearoa New Zealand our not-for-profit boards are facing huge challenges with a shortage of resources, time, and reduction in access to funding. This puts pressure on our not-for profits while the demand for services keeps growing.

Our boards are in need of services that are tailored to their needs.

The Good Governance Board Service package is an extension of our national action plan initiative “The Mentoring Service” and is part of a suite of governance programmes Community Governance Aotearoa offers.

The cost for a six-month Good Governance Board Service package is $10,000 per board and includes 6 months of tailored support with an expert governance leader, access to a range of resources based on the Good Governance Code . The Code, is grounded in te ao Māori to create stronger and more effective governance practice.

We are asking for funders, such as local councils, community trusts, philanthropic trusts, businesses and government agencies to help us reach our goal and support this initiative.

Check out our news story and FAQs for Supporters and FAQs for Boards for more information.
