What you need to know
The Charities Amendment Act 2023 introduced a new legal requirement: every registered charity must review its governance procedures at least once every three years. The clock started ticking on 5 October 2023, which means your first review is due by October 2026.
This session will cover:
- What’s changed under the Act and why it matters for your board.
- What a governance review involves — practical steps and tools to get it right.
- How to stay compliant and audit-ready without unnecessary complexity.
Practical, actionable, and designed for community governance leaders.
