After 3 years delivering the Nationwide Governance Programme and supporting over 230 board members with one to one mentoring throughout Aotearoa we have retired this programme.
In 2025, Community Governance Aotearoa will be bringing online and in-person new initiatives designed to lift the capability and capacity of the Not-for-Profit Sector.

The Nationwide Governance Programme
The Nationwide Governance Programme is a collaborative partnership between Community Governance Aotearoa and Mentoring Foundation New Zealand, initiated to help develop the governance ability of our community board members with guided one-to-one mentoring.
Programme Background:
In 2021 Community Governance Aotearoa partnered with the Mentoring Foundation NZ and Volunteer Kāpiti to trial a pilot governance programme with the Kāpiti community. In 2022, 2023 and 2024 Community Governance Aotearoa and the Mentoring Foundation NZ delivered 230 board members from across Aotearoa with governance mentoring to support their skills and grow their governance capability.
