This session will be led by Rose Hiha-Agnew, joined by guest speaker Anthony Wong – an experienced technology lawyer working at the intersection of law, AI and data governance. Together, they’ll explore data governance frameworks and emerging approaches from around the world, drawing on international practice, Indigenous perspectives, and community-led models to consider what Aotearoa can learn — and how it might apply within our own communities and organisations.
We’ll discuss the principles, safeguards, and governance practices shaping data use globally, and consider how these insights could help inform a Community Data Governance Code in 2027 for Aotearoa.
This session is intended as a conversation starter, bringing together ideas and perspectives that can contribute to a wider co-design process with the sector in 2027.
Free to attend. Join the conversation. Shape the future.
Youth Q&A Drop-In Session
Following each webinar, Rose will host a 15-minute drop-in session for young people, youth board representatives, and youth-led organisations. This informal space is designed to debrief, ask questions, share reflections, and continue the kōrero. An additional registration is required here for the Youth session.
